Työväen Akatemia
Työväen Akatemia (“Workers’ Academy”) is a folk high school in Kauniainen, founded in 1924, which offers both general and comprehensive education at university level. The aim of the studies is to clarify people’s study and career choices. In addition, we offer integration training for adult immigrants who have an upper secondary qualification or a tertiary degree. The aim of integration training is to strengthen the social inclusion of immigrants and to help educated immigrants find employment in expert positions and/or obtain further education at Finnish universities. The training contents include intensive Finnish language studies, working life skills, social skills, on-the-job learning and other studies supporting integration. The programme offers comprehensive study guidance throughout the training.
