HUMAK is a national university of applied sciences that operates almost everywhere in Finland. We have units in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area (Helsinki, Kauniainen and Nurmijärvi) and in Jyväskylä, Kuopio and Turku. We train community pedagogues, interpreters and cultural producers. Our strengths are work with civic organisations, youth work, adventure education, work community development, production and project competence, entrepreneurship in the creative industries, the interpretation of sign languages and communication expertise. The Open University of Applied Sciences offers courses included in HUMAK’s bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
